JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO POST/REPLIES TO EVERYONE TROUBLES. MY STATOR WENT BAD ON MY 04 1K ABOUT A MONTH AGO. WENT TO THE SHOP AND GOT A ESTIMATE IT WAS $275.00 ALONE JUST FOR STATOR, NO LABOR. CAME HERE AND FOUND OUT THAT HONDA WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH 04/05 1K STATORS(FLYWHEEL). WENT TO ANOTHER HONDA SHOP AND THEY CALLED HONDA AND THEY ARE GOING TO COVER EVERYTHING. YOU GUYS SAVED ME ALOT OF MONEY AND HEADACHES. ITS GOOD TO KNOW THAT OUR FELLOW RIDERS HAVE SOME PLACE THAT WE CAN GO TO AND GET HONEST ANSWERS FROM OR PREHAPS FIX OUR PROBLEMS OURSELVES.

 

was this problem a recall. i just bought a '04 600RR.

 

It was a problem with the 04/05 1k. but honda said that there wasn't enough bikes that were having that problem so they never issued a recall. lucky enough for me my dealer called and contacted them about the situation and they covered it.
