Exclamation tech question help 2005 cbr1000

2005 CBR 1000rr problem… Here is what happened. Filled bike with gas the night before. Rode bike for about 1 ½ hours no problems. Rode bike back home and problems started. Bike would have very erratic throttle response.. sometimes nothing the bike would almost stall out then I would give gas and the rpm would go to 5000 rpm then down to 1500 rpm then to 3000 rpm and buck the bike like crazy! To me it felt like a clogged fuel filter or something with the fuel pump ??? Anyways I stopped and let the bike sit for 15 min and it seemed ok for about 5 minutes then it started doing it again. I went and filled the fuel tank again (I was thinking maybe bad gas) it was 1/3 empty, The next day I rode the bike for 20 min and it was fine…. No lights came on during any of this… Don’t think it’s the stator because the battery was full strength.. Please help….. Thanks Johnny

Took the bike out again 20 min no problems.. have a coffee and ride back home. Half way home it starts bucking and poor throttle response. I get home and leave the bike running, I hear a cherning or grinding sound kind of like gears not meshing as they should. I rev the bike and it wont go over 7000 rpm and is running ruff. Could it be something more serious then fuel or ignition.... Somebody out there has had to have had the same problem.... ahhhh Help..... . Love the bike when it runs right... oh the bike has about 3000 miles on it... again no check light the bike is 100% stock..

it does sound fuel related or spark plug but they should be fine after only 3K. hmmm, it sound like something is happen sometimes, which could mean bad gas or a half clogged something(filter hose injector?

well the bike has been in the shop now for 2 weeks + and they havent found the problem. They swaped out the computer no change. hooked up diagnostic tool no codes all is good?? So now they are swaping out the fuel pump. The problem has become very predictable 30 min into ride and the problems start, eratic throtal response, stalls, rpm jumps all over the place when giving gas.... Please help, this must have happend to others.

After reading this thread ,,wow ,,2 weeks in the shop and no codes?
It has to be a heat related to fuel / ignition . Sounds like something is directly affecting either your fuel or electronics via heat transfer . Vacuum hoses are very capable of interrupting fuel flow , but not really heat problematic , ,,thinking maybe taking a peek at the pressure regulator ,,or a ground wire(s) ,,just a few thoughts on it as I had the same problem , but it was a faulty kill switch , I disconnected it ,,problem was gone,,I replaced the switch ..good ever since . The same almost exact thing my other bike was doing . I also had a faulty pressure regulator that would fail after riding 20 mins ,,almost like vapor lock ,, but let it sit for 5-10 mins,,good for another 15 mins,,I took a chance and replaced it,,its been good ever since ,,except for a crap walmart battery ,, it was a desperate choice ,,no bike shop here in town . Always a walmart in every town LOL!! Swapped out the battery with a new one ,,same wal-battery (warranty) its all good . I hope the guys at the shop can pin it down for ya ,,those are nice bikes.

It sounds like a tank venting issue to me. Have you popped the cap when this has happened?
