Switch, Motor or What?

[&:]My 2002 CBR954RR will not run unless I hold the starter switch in. As soon as I let it go the engine turns off. What could it be?

I was riding my bike down a dark street at about 30 mph when a car shot out of a driveway with no lights on and BAM!!!! I was hopsitalized for 3 weeks and bed ridden for 3 months. My bike is in better condition than I was it only suffered minor scratches on the front cowl, a broken windshield and the running problem above. Thank God for frame protectors. Could someone please direct me to a shop in my area that can match the original red 2002 paint? The car kept going!

I would hate to take it to the dealer and have them charge me 70 bucks just to look at it. Whatever you can offer is greatly appreciated.

WTF!?!? Spark plugs not working??? Oh my god. Okay, first you need to find out what youre loosing. Spark, fuel, or both. I would look first at the run fuses (i.e. ecm, etc) and go from there.

You got a relay problem and you are overiding the relay with the starter button in and you need to get to the problem before you burn up your starter remember when you hold it in it is actually running also and if you turn the motor way up there the start is turning way up to, thats not good call or go to the local Honda shop and talk to them about your problem hope this helps.
