stator help. replaced now it has noise

Need help. I did the homework and im not getting anywhere.
So i have a 2000 929rr. I just replaced the stator and hooked it back up like it was orignally.
Started bike and it was fine.
Pulled down the drive way and it started makeing noise. Winding noise. Any ideas would be great. Thank you

does the noise sound like its coming from the stator area? did you get all of the bolts tight and the hold down for the wire inside on correctly? the only thing that i can think of is that something may be dragging on the rotor inside.

Yeah i did all of that. It was fine on flat ground. But pulling down the drive way is when it started

What about the oil that was in there. Did i have to replace it? If so im guessing its just thu the oil case

if its coming from the stator area, something has got to be not quite right in there. only rolling? only idling? only revving?

All three since i rolled it out. The bike has also been sitting for a year

the oil is just engine oil.
any way to post a short video of the noise? it hard to say what else it could be without hearing it.
