Default stator and flywheel

ok. my bike is an 04 1000rr and in the last 1000 miles or so i have gone through 3 stators. this last time when i took the stator out i noticed that the fly wheel has a grove on it where the stator has been rubbing. thats why the stator is burning up so fast. the dealer said that its either the fly wheel or the crank might be bent. i ride hard so im worried that it could be the crank. my question is, do you guys think that its possabile to bend the crank with the rev limiter still at the factory setting? i thought protecting the motor was the whole point. i also went down last july and was told it could have bent the crank then but there was no damage or even scratches on the motor anywhere. i have ordered a new flywheel and am hoping that will fix the prob. i dont have the money to have the crank replaced and i cant do that myself. thanks for any openions.
