speedo problem

Is it a mechanical speedo or does it have an electrical pick-up? Either way I'm sure you can modify the output to give you a close reading. Have you looked into a speedohealer?
Another way to go would be to mount a GPS ... Garmin etrex models have a speedo function and can be bought fairly cheap.

I looked it up and the speedo healer will definitely work on a 900RR. But I'm not sure how you'd calibrate it.
You said it showed 10mph at 60mph ... is it geometric? At 30mph does it read 5mph? If so then I'd think the speedo healer would work ... just have to program it. It might be worth a shot to give the guys over there a holler and see how high you can set the things. When it was just a couple dudes going by blackbox robotics (or sumpin like that) I knew them all and they were always helpful when setting up different things. That's been a looooong time ago Damn I'm old.
Good luck!
