Default Smelling Gas????

Hello,
im still new to the whole carborated, way of life ( im a EFI car guy).just gor my f2 about a month ago. and everytime im done riding it , and sometimes sitting in traffic, im smelling my gasoline. it even get to the point that after riding, and putting it in the garage i have to let the garage air out with a fan on because it just reaks of gas.now i removed all my fairings today, and i couldnt find any cracked hoses, or leaks anywere. i idle between 1500-2000 rpms. now because my idleing is rampped and not steady i thought it could possibly be some sort of vacuum leak but i couldnt find anything. But what i did find was 3 hoses not connected to anything. one big one comming from the bottom of my tank that dosent seem to go to anything. and 2 smaller ones that look like they come from the cyclender head or carb( couldnt see all the way way back) next to the first cyclinder, and third cyclinder.so i decided to smell them, and could smell gasoline comming from these 2 smaller hoses. then i also noticed that , im guessing the f2 has some sort of air canister. well im not to sure what it does, but im also pretty sure mine dosent have one.i do know the previus ower rebuilt the motor.

so if anybody has ever expeirenced this or can put me in the right direction, it would help alot

Thank you

p.s. my bike is a 92 f2 600

California model or standard?

Standard model should have 2 hoses coming from the tank itself. they don't connect to anything. Another small hose runs from the left side of the carbs to your petcock, and obviously a 4th hose (bigger one) is your fuel line.

If you have a cali model, those things do have an evap canister or something like that. no clue how those are set up, someone else will have to help.

now one time i dont know what happened but somehow i connected my vac lines extremely wrong. and some of my air hoses filled up with gasoline i probably ended up blowing a quart of gas out of the hoses. maybe you have some gas in there its def worth checking.

fix your idle it sounds too high at least i know the f3 is suposed to be at 1250 to 1300. and check all of your intake hoses. its worth getting a f2 book to check how everything should be hooked up.

raiden. the fuel filter...... by this are you talking about the fuel screen inside the tank? i noticed the o-ring at the bottom is a little deformed. other then that i cannot find a furl filter anywere. i downloaded the service manual and nothing in there also. i even did a search on the webfor replacment fuel filters on my bike, and nobody even makes them,.....stumped

Kinda sounds to me like one or more of your floats are sticking or the level is set too high, causing the mixture to be too rich when running and fuel running out the vent hoses when sitting, especially on the side stand.
