Single Sided Swingarm on a 89 CBR600F???
I'm looking at picking up a 1989 CBR600F for my Wife's first Bike (getting it at a GREAT price). I'm thinking of putting a Single sided swingarm assembly off of a 6th generation VFR on it and fabricating an undertail exhaust (probably different bodywork also). Anyone here have any experience fitting a single sided Honda Pro-Arm to a first generation CBR600? I've been told it's almost a direct bolt-up to the pro-link? Any info would definately help before I get very deep into it.

Im not sure if it will fit or not. I would imagine there will be more to it than just a simple bolt on.
I gotta agree here. Since its her first bike, I would just let her learn on it and make sure its something she is going to want to do. I would make sure the bike is safe and is in good condition, but other than that, I wouldnt put too much into into it just yet. My wife dropped her R6 3 times while she was learning to ride. If I had done a bunch of work to it before she learned on it, I would have been a little pissed. but since the bike had already been down before, I let her learn on it the way it was. After it was apparent that she was going keep riding, I repainted it and customized it some for her.
If it turns out she likes to ride, ask her what she wants on the bike. I've learned the hard way that what I think she wants and what I think it cool, is nothing like what she thinks. If this bike is truly for her, and not going to be ridden by you, let her decide what she wants. it will be better for you in the long run
seems like alot for a 20yr old bike
