Hey guys my service guy and also the other forums haven't given me any great ideas but I have a '05CBR600RR and the shifter is giving me some slop. The play through the gears is perfect but the shaft that goes through the crank has about a 1/2'' of play to the left/right. Depending on that position determines whether it engages the gearbox or not. If it is pulled out(left) most of the way it goes through all gears just fine, all the way in(right) and it doesn't engage at all. I took it too the local shop here and I got a blank look when he saw the problem and then said he'd have to completely disassemble the bike and crank... $1800 later he could let me know if any parts need to be replaced... Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
