Default Shift pedal sticking down when down shifting

Hello,
I am new on here, and looked through some posts, but couldn't find anything like this. I have an 01 F4i, and when shifting down, the shift pedal will sometimes stay all the way down. I then have to tap it on top with my foot so that it will pop back up. Is this just a case of a sticky pedal? Or am I looking at tranny problems?

P.S. The chain was just replaced, and this happened before and after replacement.

Try changing the oil. That usually helps

Really? I didn't think about changing the oil to help the shift pedal. Learn something new every day. Thanks man.

Remember, the oil is in your transmission too. It is a very common sign you need an oil change
