HEY GUYZ I JUST RAN MY BIKE THIS WEEKEND AND IT TOPPED OUT AT 155 MPHOH I HAVE AN 2001 F4I. MY BUDDY HAS A 1000RR HE CUT HIS REV LIMITER SO NOW HES DOING A GOOD 225MPH STOCK. HE SAID IF I CUT MINE MY BIKE WILL TOP OUT AT 185. THE QUESTION IM ASKING DOES ANYONE NO WHERE THE REV LIMITER IS AT ON MY BIKE. THANX

 

There is a damn good reason the limiter is there. First i'm pretty sure its electronic in the ecm. Second, expect a rod to come straight through your *** if you push 185 in 6th

i don't believe there is a rev limiter in US bikes...two...you're a moron....three...an f4i is NOT going to do 185....four...i doubt a 1000rr is doing 225 stock....

no way a stock 1000RR is gonna hit 225. Its not the rpm that stops the bike for going faster, it runs out of power. Your friend is feeding you BS trying to sound cool.

Leave your bike alone. If you do find way to bypass your rev limiter, your going to destroy your engine.. plain and simple. Its there for a reason, and its not there to limit speed, its there to limit RPM's...an engine can only withstand so many RPM's before it grenades.....

yup. and on a 1000RR it isnt the REV limiter that you remove, its the governor that limits the top speed to 187. your friend is an idiot, stop hanging out with him, and find a group of SMART bikers who actually know what they're talking about to hang out iwth.
