Default Removing Clutch Slave

I would like to remove the hydraulic clutch slave so I can get to the sprocket cover. As far as I can tell, all I really need to do is remove these 3 bolts.

Honda manual says to drain the system first. Do I really need to do that? Is putting it back on just as easy as taking it off?
