Re-attaching sprocket cover casing
Hi folks, have all my parts now to put bike back on the road after the chain decided to **** off.
The lip on the engine casing was a clean enough break for me to be able to stick it back on so as I can still use the sprocket cover. I got some of the strongest Gorilla Glue resin but worried that it degrade over time and drop the lip down onto the new chain.
What would be the most powerful stuff to stick it with, or would the Gorilla stuff be up to the job?
Cheers.

Hi Dec, use Gorilla Glue myself, it applies better with a spray of water on the clean surfaces first , but for that job I would use JB Weld, you can apply it liberally on the underside to hold in place

Well it worked out well, light touch and off it came ffs.....
Is a 5.4mm flare safe enough to ride on? My flare tool only seems to flare to that depth. Also some tight spots on new chain, can't win, it's too loose if I do it at the tight spot and vice versa.
One 954 for sale soon methinks, sick of working on it!

Duh! 😁
I have her tucked away for the night, will stick pics up 2mro. Although I do reckon it'll be hard to reattach it, it's a thin contact area and has to be able to take the top bolt tension also. Prob end up running it without the cover.
