Default Please help...Dealer can't find problem with '06 1000RR

Got an '06 CBR 1000RR that runs for 2-3 seconds and then shuts down. The Malfunction Indicator Lamp says it's the #3 primary injector. Dealer replaced it but no change. The header pipe stays cool. This injector is still not working. The dealer (who has bad reputation for service and only place I have to go), has had my baby, which only has 3500 miles on her, for two weeks now with no answer for me. PLEASE HELP!

Thanks and keep the sticky side down!

Try a different dealer. Your warranty is good at any Honda certified shop.

Sorry but it's impossible to diagnose over the net. It could be that the harness is bad and the injector isn't getting a signal to fire. Or the ECU may not be sending a signal. Or that plug may not be firing. Too many variables and no way to check out anything over the net.

My best advice is to go over their heads to the area Honda rep. Be very courteous and calm when explaining the situation. If that doesn't get anything done then explain that there are over 8000 honda riders at a certain web site and one of the admins ain't afraid to post about their sorry service techs.

Good luck!

I would try another Honda dealer. If you still get no place call Honda. Two weeks is to long.

Thanks, Iwas told today that they are going to order an ECM for my bike but they cant get one in Canada I'm told it's on back order from Japan. Seems strange that you can't get a part for a new model bike. Any info on one to get in the good 'ol US ofA?

Sounds like they owe you a new bike.
