Just to let you guys know autozone carries a plastic weld now. Its comes in the 2 tube thing and is for abs plastic. Its alot stronger than the others, 3500 psi and sets in 15 minutes. The only problem is that it only came in one color, off white but it won't be seen anyways. After I get it done I'll snap some pics to show how it worked. I'll probably do it tomorrow. Thanks again

2 part epoxy, u can get at any auto supply place works good . Just read the back to make sure it says it is for abs plastic which is generally what all sport bikes are made of . Also make sure both pieces u are gluing together, u scuff em up real good with something like 40 grit sand paper then clean it off real good u dont wanna any dust still on either pieces , and dont be scared to just glob it all over looks messy but will hold good . I use other stuff at my shop which is real expensive like 60 bux a tube but u can use very little and make both sides look just like it was never cracked and it WILL NOT recrack again but like i said it is real expensive if u want to try it it is made by 3m and it is called panel bonding epoxy when u put it on it gets soo hot that it all melts together.... good stuff u would need to go to an autobody supply place to get it . Heat is good for two part epoxies. It helps them cure.

 

Ok I used the plastic weld epoxy today. It said it was suppost to be setup in 15 minutes and it was more like an hour, but it seems really strong though, there isn't as much flex in the repaired ones as in the ones that aren't broken. I'll keep you guys posted on how they hold up.

Evercoat is the stuff I use. I'm an autobody technician and Evercoat is the best I've used. they have two different types. A thicker one for cracks and stuff and a thinner one for a glaze. Works great.

 

LOL it looks like sh*t but it will probably hold and no one will ever see it. I can post some pics but I'll have to snap some first. I'll probably to that in a few hours. I'll probably take my bike apart this summer on some rainy day to see if I have any new problems there so I'll keep it up-to-date.
