Hey guys!

I've ordered a new set of fairing, and while waiting I'm trying to do some research on paint.

As for right now, the main color will be satin flat black, but the paint job will be done by my buddy and myself. So it will be really awesome if someone can give me even a smallest hint on what paint code it might be as shown on the attached picture.

How are you painting it? If its just spray painting, just about any satin, or semi-gloss black should do.

If your doing an actual base coat/clear coat, just use a satin clear coat over any black base coat. Black is about the easiest to get the way you want it. You may even want to buy your clear coat, and a flatening agent to add to it. You can experiment and get it just the way you want that way. Otherwise, a 30% gloss clearcoat is right about where that looks to be.

 

Thanks for this info. But you don't know about any paint that is already prepped? Just really really don't want to mess it up.

I guess we can experiment a bit before.
