Oil Stopped Pumping/Metal in my oil HELP!!

long of the short:
99 cbr900rr started tapping bad. Got it home checked it out and noticed the oil level wasnt moving when the bike was running so i came to the conclusion im not pumping oil. Started taking her apart only to find out my clutch disks are broken but appeared to be all there until i took them out (they just came out in peices). So i dropped the oil pan to find metal chunks and shaving sitting in the bottom, though im not 100% how the lubrication system works, the oil strainer thing didnt seem to be obstructed, thuogh i guess with pressure it could get clogged.
Anyway, any clue what the metal could be from? should i assume its from the clutch?
With the oil pump seemingly working fine, should i try to clean all the crap out and hope i get oild pressure again or are there other things i should look for?
Please help im pretty snagged!! and im NOT taking it to my mechanic so he can rape me (250 in labor for fork seals) Which reminds me, i DO do clutch wheelies which is why my clutch is broke but could it hurt anything else to make the shaving?!

looking a little close it apears its probably clutch peices and some metal taken off the block around the area, i figure a new clutch and oil strainer with a clean out should be good, so any ideas/thoughts how to get all the metal out incase theres still some lurking around in the engine?
