Default Not Sure

If this is the right place to put this, but I figured it would be a good start and could be moved it need be. First off, I've never really introduced myself but I've been lurking around for the last couple of weeks. Recently a buddy of mine whos big into building bikes came across a 2004 600RR that was wrecked. We are in the process of getting it all put back together and sent the swingarm and frame out for poweder coating. Anyways, we got a call back from our buddy whos doing the coating and he said the swingarm had a small crack in it.

Well mainly what Im looking for is if I need this fixed any certain way and if you guys know of anyone who could do it, or where to start looking. I live outside of Buffalo but wouldnt mind shipping it if need be. Its a stretched swingarm which Im not 100% thrilled with but I did like how it looked, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance
Noah

EDIT: I don't know alot about bikes... a newbie I am for sure haha

Since it's been modded to begin with (stretched) if it were me I would try to get an new (or used in good condition)OEM one. I really don't know much about repairing it, but since this is a major component of your bike, you want it done right, because you don't want to know what could happen if the job is done poorly.Try spending some time withgoogle, I'm sure this question has come up on other bikes too.

Yeah I need to get the part myself and see exactly where this crack is and the size of it most importantly. Any other input from people?
