Need help with parts 1999 cbr 600 f4i
Ok this is what's happening. I just bought a 1999 cbr 600f4i with 28000 miles on it runs decent for an older bike. Anyways I have small chips on the lip of my front rim and I can't seem to find a replacement wheel. Also I can't seem to find a front fender and front fairing as these are damaged also. I was wondering if the 2000 model replacement parts would work.
One last thing my exhaust backfires and will shoot flames sometime I was wondering if I could make the air fuel ratio not as rich without going to a mechanic.
I know this is a lot I'm sorry. But I just don't want this thing falling apart on me
Thanks

CaBaRet is right, 1999 and 2000 were both carburetor bikes, with 2001-2006 being the FI models. The nice thing is they all use the same fairings and fenders (not withstanding the tail changes). You can buy any year and paint to match.
The exhaust backfiring is classic of dirty carburetors. A good thorough cleaning is probably in order.
