if anywhere it would be on the ignition cylinder otherwise you need to buy a new ignition. honda4u.com is really cheap.

A locksmith can cut a new key to match the cylinder (I believe).
I have heard that the code is on the gas-cap, as well.
I'd give a locksmith a call and ask if there is anything he/she can do,

On my 03 f4i the code was on the ignition cylinder housing right next to the pin for the neck lock. The cylinder needed to be removed to access the code. A locksmith then looked up the code and cut me new keys... I promptly found my original key of course.

Don't forget to write down the code once you figure it out.
I wrote mine on the wall of the garage with a sharpy.
Probably won't lose the garage, any time soon...

Might have that key copied about 2-3 times too. Maybe throw one in the junk drawer
(I know you have one, everyone does), so you have a back-up.
Nail another to the wall of the garage (next to that key-code).

I have about 150 keys on a pegboard in my garage that are old keys from facilities my GF's grandfather used to work at, etc. The guy collected keys.

Mixed in with those is a spare. I'm also giving a riding buddy of mine a copy...
