Help please
Hi just wondering can anyone help with a problem 99 cbr 600. ...the points in the fuel keep burning cleaned them drove ten miles and she died again ...cleaned them again and she ran again ...just wondering is something causing this to hapoen or is just time to change them ....thanks in advance

ya points (contacts) in the back of the pump ...after about 10 miles the bike dies and i have to clean the points ...just wondering is something causing this to happen ...will changing the points fix the problem or will it just happen to tge new points aswell

Can you post a pic of it?
What do you think is causing the contacts to get gummed up to where the pump stops working?
But, it's still a carb'd bike. So, it's a low pressure fuel pump (3-5psi). This ensures at WOT at the track, you won't experience fuel starvation.
But it shouldn't cause the bike to die under normal operation.... When it dies, loosen one of the bowls on the carb. If it's dry, you ran out of gas, that's the issue. If fuel pours out, your problem lies elsewhere.
