Need Help

So yesterday i went to install turn signals on the rear of my bike (01 F4i). I bought it without signals and have never installed any.

However after trying unsuccessfully i only managed to blow the fuse to my tailights and guage cluster. (which had worked fine before).

I have no idea what i messed up and it keeps blowing fuses?

:icon_teeth:: responding to both of your threads! Well I was wiring my bike a few weeks ago and whenever I blew a fuse it meant I wired something up wrong and there was a short in the circuit. So first you should check the schematic for your bike and make sure you have the right wires, and then if that doesn't help, just guess and check. (buy a bunch of fuses!)

green = ground. go to stephygee.com and get the manual for your bike, and check the wiring diagram.

umm. That video actually recommends not using the a proper method of connecting wires (the blue scotchblok mentioned) in lieu of twisting them together and wrapping with - that looked like masking tape to me.

/sigh.

i soldered them together later. i assumed people knew that you solder wires when you connect them, or use a butt connector with a heat shrink tube. i made the video to show what happens when you connect all three or the wrong ones
