Need to do a oil change on a 2002 954rr
 

Hello, i'm new to the forum and i noticed you don't have a DIY for a oil change. If you could let me know the tools i need and maybe some pictures i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. New cbr owner =]

oil filter wrench and a socket for the drain plug not much different than doin it on a car, oil filter will be on mid-bottom behind the exhaust manifold most likely (it looks like a regular oil filter just a little smaller) and the drain plug will probably be on the bottom of the engine or possibly on the front-bottom of the engine, unscrew drain plug let drain, unscrew filter let drain, screw on new filter 1/4 turn past hand tight, screw drain plug back in, refill with oil, oil fill is on the right side of the motor, the little hump by your right leg sitting on it, its the only thing that looks like a cap that unscrews, i believe that those bikes have a oil level window on the side of that cover make sure bike is level and upright and fill till the oil is half way up the window, put cap back on run for a min let oil settle and see if you need to add more, oil should only be half way up the viewing window maybe 3/4 at most but no more.

what size socket do i need to remove the plug? and what size socket do i need to remove the frame bolts?

im not exactly sure what the sizes are, bust out the tool box and check to see what one fits.
