as the title says on my dad's 1998 Honda Shadow VLX 600, he just bought and we were checking it over, the tail light works, and works for the hand front brake, but not for the rear foot brake, any ideas what it might be?

 

try locating the switch on the footbrake and adjusting it.Ill go out and check my dads shadow to see if i can find it. Idk if the 2002's are the same as the 98's though

 

See that ****: thats where its adjusted. Try triggering the switch by hand.

if that doesnt work, try tracing the wires to a plug, maybe thats a little loose

how can i manually trigger it? if thats the prob how do i adjust it?

 

i already removed seat and checked connections and pinched wires in some places.

 

that switch is right next to the pedal..or at least it should be. do you see any switches like that near the pedal cause if there is none that might be why its not workin
