Default Miles a big deal?

I got my first bike this year and loved it the moment i got on her, the problem is I only had her from late june untill today and put 6,010 miles on her, is this bad? Can I shoot the retial on this bike now? Is this just new bike fun? I dont wanna ride the crap out of it and have it die on me in 3 years, i keep geting told the bike will loose power after 30,000mi and so on, this has got me paranoid because allthough I do plan on geting another one eventually were talking like 5years from now or maybe 6 and the way I ride im gonna have over 60,000 miles or maybe even more!

I bought my 05 600RR in July of last year... late July almost august and it has just under 14,000 on it now. You bought it because you wanted to ride it, so do as many miles as you like. If you're worried about the miles hurting resale, you're in the wrong place.

My 900RR had 28k on it when I sold it and it ran better now than it did at 5k when I bought it. My dad rides a 78 KZ1000 Z1R. He didnt have to rebuild his motor until almost 50k and even then was just to beat my uncles FZ700 at the time. It now has 70K+ and runs great. Keep in mind that is an air cooled bike. A liquid cooled bike will last longer. There are plenty of bikes running around with over 50K on them and running strong.

My '04 is at 69,668 miles and still running as perfect and strong as the day I bought it new, which was 10-17-04. You gotta remember, a vehicle (bike, car, truck, etc) is not an investment and will depreciate no matter what (may be some exceptions, but in general). I don't know about everybody else but I bought my bike to RIDE, not make a garage ornament, so that's exactly what I do.... alot! I figure I'm paying for it I might as well get my moneys worth, right? If all you're worried about is resale value, buy a HD and keep it in the garage for 20 years, otherwise get out and ride!! It's a Honda, it'll hold up just fine, no worries

don't worry about milage. on a motorcycle, it's not a big deal. what matters more is HOW it was ridden...

if you rode it 6000 miles since june and it's been redlined the whole time, then yes, i'd say that's bad.

No I have only red lined it one time and that was drag racing my friend, I should have said why im worried, the resale is not the big thing it's just I do wanna get a new one agian eventualy when I do I wanna get something for it, who knows I could keep it and have 2 im talking sometime from now. All im saying is I don't wanna hit 50k and my motor takes a crap, i change the oil every 2,000mi and your right it is a honda, im just paranoid
