Default Mesh and side fairing

i am going to mount mesh to the side fairing gaps. Epoxy is the usual choice. I have got tube of JB Weld which is non flamable and hold up to 600 degrees. Does anyone suggest I use regualr epoxy instead of JB Weld...? thanks for the input. Epoxy hasa 200 degree warning and sometimes I run hooter than that so I figured JB Weld is the safe way to go. I don't wanna be on fire when I ride.

I used JB Weld...worked great...gotta do my new fairing that I just got...just takes awhile to dry, but the epoxy would most likely melt

If you use JB Weld, use JB Quick weld. It sets in about 5 minutes where the regular JB Weld takes longer to set. I used the quick weld when I put the mesh on my F3 and My wife's YZF. Another idea, the stuff you get at the auto shop is sometimes "pricey" BUT go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy some aluminum gutter gaurds.A pack of 6 is around $10 or less and was more than enough to do all the openings on my F3 and her YZF and still had some left over.

Home Depot has sheets of expanded aluminum aproximately 5ft X 3ft but the holes are too big to look right on a bike and they only cost about $5 or $6 also. I think the gutter guard looks better BUT if your openings are too big,it won't work. I think it's only like 4" wide or so, ever how wide a gutter is.

in pics it doesn't do justice...l much thicker then gutter guard and actually bends with the fairing, have had lots of compliments, I think i paid $70 for a 4'x8' piece, put it in my trucks grill, and a few other peoples, made my money back....and still have half the sheet left!

It looks like the street scene grill they sell for trucks...thats exactly what it looked like on my old Dakota

I did the same mod on my 929 and got my mesh from Home Depot. I got a roll of it for around $10 and used 5-minute epoxy to attach it to my fairings. I have had it on there for over a month now and have not had any problems at all. I ride every day too. Only thing that I wish I had done is paint them black before I installed them.
