Default lost all power on my 250R when out riding

hay guys got my cbr 250r 1989 going good enuf to go out 4 a ride with the old man but it run out of gas as i was going around a corner so i put it onto the rev tank and she went but it lost all power when it takes off its got nufing so bad some times (if not warmed up good ) she just dies and when she dos go u put the throttle wide open and she craws up to about 9000k then it slowly starts to pick up some speed then change up to 2nd and it dose it all again could it be some thing wrong with the fuel or is it the carbys or just all of the above??? if some one could help me with some plans to try and fix it would be grate

i just check the fuel and it seem to be flowing fine when i push the starter
i thought mayb there was abit of **** in the bottom of the tank thats got its way into some were mayb???

i think i mite need to take off the carby and give them a better clean??? cheers

I'd start with your carbs based on your description of what happened. The reserve is the bottoms of the tank so it's quite possible you sucked up some crud and plugged up your carbs.

i thought the same so took them apart to clean a blow out and the last guy to do the same thing use gasket glue in the float chamber and the **** was every were insde it there was crap in each one so took it all off and cleaned them out and when put back on it was sweet it even sounded better and got more power but now its out of turn (it alwasy was just more so now its clean ) so iam going to make a manometer to get it running right i hope cheers guys

cheers guys it was rust in the tank witch fuct the carbs so i found the best cheepst way to get the rust off(as long as its only a little surface rust) is white vinger and salt i soke it 4 26 hours and it got all the **** off the side and everything so now its going sweet was so amazed with the vinger i seen it on youtube lol crazy a
