Hey I am new to this site but I purchased a 96 cbrF3 about 2 months ago from a guy it was about 50% apart so I put it back together put a jet kit in it all new fluids and it ran like a champ no leaks or anything well a couple days ago it started running funny in the 1-5000 rpm range like its only hitting on 2 cylinders then when you ripp the throttle it comes alive it will still stand up and it will even wrap the speedo ,its the cruising rpm range that sucks then I noticed some oil coming from the engine cant really see where from though it also smells like its dumping way to much fuel into the carbs since this problem started anybody got any ideas?

Hey well tore the bike down last nite ,and I think I found the problem 2 of the gaskets between the carbs and the airbox were not seated properly and it was allowing to much air I think and gas was coming out of there and by the time it came down it looked like oil I guess from all the crud on the engine ,the bike is 12 years old so I'm gonna pick up the gaskets today and try that out if it works I'll let ya'll know if not then I'll look for something else,process of elimination,
