Default loctite silver grease and chains

I bought a tube of silver grease for my rear axle and noticed it says it also works for chains and industrial applications up to 850C. I've got a spray on can of chain lube that I was intending to use on the chain after I cleaned it with kero but I was wondering if the silver stuff might be better? It is a hell of a lot more expensive!

The bike is at 108,000km and I've had it for 3 weeks. The rubber chain guard that wraps around the swingarm was caked in a lot of km's of road grime but still in good condition, it is all clean now... there's no way to get it off without taking off the swingarm is there?
