Hey guy's I am a avid harley rider and my buddy has had a 97 cbr 900 that he wrecked at 30 mph sitting in his garage for 2 years. I bought a bat for it and got it started and rode it home. It runs like crap and has no skins on it, where do I start? I really want to ride this thing.

 

Ebay for parts, farings etc. I guess i would start with some basics, get all the old gas out of the tank and lines. Clean and sinc the carbs, probably new plugs, oil change, clean and lube up the chain. Then see how it runs from there, and adjust as needed.

 

Sounds like a great project, have fun with it. There are a lot of people here that should be able to help out with information.

Get some Seafoam to clean out the carbs, and definitely get all that old nasty gas out of there and clean the tank out real good

 

this sounds like what i got too, mines a 96 cbr600 but it wont start.

how do you get all the old gas out of the lines. im this close to taking this thing to a mechanic after i changed all plugs,oil,gas and it still wont start
