Default Jet Kit for a F4

I have a 2000 F4. It has a K&N air filter, and I am planning on upgrading my exhaust to a Yoshimura RS-3 setup. I have heard that when you have aftermarket exhaust and a K&N filter, that you should also geta jet kit.

I have three questions:
[ol][*]Do I really need a jet kit with new exhaust and air filter?[*]How hard are the kits to install? (I have a good background from working on cars, but not much bike experience.)[*]What is a good brand name jet kit to get, and how much will it cost?[/ol]
Thanks for your help.

1. put your pipe on and see is the best way if anything it will just lag
2. fairly hard if you have never worked on a carb
3. dynojet, about $120

How willI know if it is lagging? Will the bike just not have its full hp potential, or will I notice something?

Thanks Mikey.
