RE: I WANT POWER
the first thing I would do is change the gearing. Its best bang for the buck you can get. I would recommend +2 on the rear sprocket. Some will advise the +2 on the rear and the -1 on the front, but I feel its too much change especially if your driving the bike long distances or on the freeway.
You will notice a pretty big difference which ever way decide.
You can also add a speedo healer as your speedometer will be off.

I suggest getting a new chain n sprockets. -1t Front/+2t rear, that will net you the most in the seat of your pants power. Then a PC III, free flow air filter (K&N or BMC), and a full exhaust (headers n all). Then go get it dyno tuned at a local reputable shop, n get a custom map for you altitude n set up.

Break-in the engine first, put on some SuperCorsa III's, hit the track, you'll find loads of untapped zip. Otherwise, if you're a straight line addict, buy a Hayabusa. Modern sportbikes are delivered in such a state of tune, you are unlikely to gain more than ten percent extra zip.

RE: I WANT POWER
Spirit reminded me of the article i saw about breaking in an engine...if i'm not mistaken they used a honda cbr...showed one that had been babied as per factory instructions...and one that was beat on....kinda funny how the piston rings on the beat on one were in better condition than the babied one
