hurricane 600 14t front?

would dropping from stock 15t /44t to 14t /44t be to big of a jump ,

bikes running great , could use some more low end off the line . and

really want add a tooth or 2x , 45t or 46t on the rear , but will be more complicated than just changing the front ,

for basic street riding around town ,knee dragging , some 2 up

touring

bike has stage 2 , k& n ,.and f1 exhaust . was looking at buying a 2009 bandit 1250 , more low end torque, decided to keep hurricane tweak it out a bit . see how it goes . so far replaced the shock , found a used corbin seat .cleaned the carbs . new battery , new tires . thx!

One less in the front is like adding 3 to the rear gear ratio wise. IMO, a smaller front sprocket forces the chain to make a tighter turn and makes it ride on the swingarm more (at least it does on mine). Better to make the rear sprocket larger for an easier arc and more clearance.

I agree. A smaller front sprocket will also reduce sprocket life and a larger back sprocket will last longer. Besides, big back sprockets are cool as hell.
