Default How do you disconnect these connectors?

Hello all,

Excuse this if its a dumb question. I'm trying to disconnect the headlight and instrument cluster harness to remove the front cowl on my 2006 600RR. I'm notorious at destroying these things in general. Only thing disconnecting at the moment is my temper, so i'm taking a breather before I have a fit and have to replace my whole harness. I've squeezed and pulled several different ways, but obviously I'm not doing the one easy thing to make this come apart. Thanks in advance for any calm wisdom and insights.

Normally there is a small clip that you have to depress so that you can pull the wiring plugs apart. It just needs to be pressed inwards to free the plug halves from one another.

Default internal clips ?

Did you try prying out gently on the sides of the clip I have never worked on that bike before but have worked on many a car it looks similar to the style that you use a small flat blade to gently pry them away from the plug they have internal clasps... maybe ? worth a shot just be careful.

the small hobby/jeweler screwdrivers work very well. The catch is if you dont have two (one for each side of the cconnector), you have to BE PATIENT. Youll have to work a little bit out at a time (switch from side to side on the connecctor) gently prying it away Lol. I,m like you. I end up breaking things and glueing them back.
