Can anyone confirm that the black plastic used in Honda undertail fender assemblies is polypropylene? I'm looking to do some plastic welding repairs and am trying to positively identify the plastic type.
It seems to pass all the PP tests (specific gravity < 1 ... it floats in water), burns with orange flame, acrid smoke smell.
Also, there's a ">PP<" in the text molded into the underside of the fenders along with the other information.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows for sure. Lots of googling and I can't find anything definitive.
