Hey, this is my first post but I have received a lot of help from these forums.

I have a problem with my CBR 250R, Ive recently fixed it up after a long downtime. It had an overheating problem which Ive recently fixed by a new thermostat and new coolant, but as I was riding down the freeway at 100km/hr I noticed white smoke coming from the exhaust which I pulled over to have a closer look. As I pulled over, it stalled and I could not get it restarted for about half an hour which I let sit and cool down. I did notice that oil was leaking from somewhere. I finally got it home which I took the tank off and took the air filter thingy off. I have oil in that bit with the black horn lookin things. (Sorry for my mechanical jargon) Also there is a pool of oil around the little bit at the top right of the bottom black airfilter thing???? The bit where a S pipe goes to the head of the engine. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what this problem may be? Its way out of my league and Im going to take it to the shop but Id like to have some idea of what it could be.

sorry man.. you obviosly have an oil leak and its obviosly spraying on to somthing that gets hot enough for it to burn..

probably a valve cover gasket or a side cover gasket.. somthing pretty easy to fix..

bring it to a shop before you break somthing..

 

White smoke is coolant. Headgasket, cracked head, maybe something easier to fix.

Blue smoke is oil, black is fuel.
