Hole in lower crank case :(
Hello all. Discovered a "small" hole in my lower crankcase. (98' CBR600) naturally my heart sank and I began to question life itself. But when i came to grips with reality I began my researching quest. There are thousands of people on the internet claiming JB weld, and similar products will hold for thousands of miles. So what am I doing wrong? Ive now tried twice. I've cleaned the hole and surrounding area. Scored the metal up good with sandpaper and wire brush. First time I let it cure for 1 hour (JB Steel-Stick says 1 hour) and once engine started it popped right off. Almost humorously. So then I REALLY cleaned the metal and scored the heck out of it. And let it cure for 48 hours. With my hopes high I started the bike today. And *pop* it fell right off. I'm desperately trying not to tear apart the whole engine and replace lower crankcase. Please help. Thanks in advance.
LEFT FRONT SIDE OF ENGINE. Roughly smaller than a dime. Directly behind hole is crankshaft.

Ok so I don't know how to delete this thread. But it's irrelevant now, sorry. Basically long story short it was user error. The way I was shaping the puddy I didn't take into account the engines internal clearance. Crank was interacting with the hardend puddy and pushing it out just barely. After I realized and took that into account. I properly patched hole. JB weld Steel-Stick. Yes it can be done. No it's not the "right way." Yes it holds.
