I have a CBR600F2 and I finally managed to get a center stand for it (used one from Baboon in Europe). I'm currently re-finishing it, but mocking it up on the bike, it looks like there's this tab that will likely touch, or bang against the exhaust:
It looks like there's supposed to be something attached there, but even looking at the parts catalogue, I don't see anything. I'm currently poking around, trying to find some sort of high-heat silicone pad that I can put there that won't melt against the exhaust, but I thought I'd post here and see if anyone had any knowledge or suggestions regarding this they'd be willing to share? Thanks in advance!!!
Oh, cool. Mine is different, there is a piece welded on, but it's more of an 'L' welded on which is where the rubber stopper should make contact. I imagine this would reduce the temperature the stopper has to endure. I haven't found anything pre-made yet that I'm happy with, so I'm trying to make something out of a tube of black 500' silicone and a bolt/nut/washer, we'll see if it works My next idea is a hunk of rubber rad hose.
