HELP!!! Turn signal issues

installed hot bodies flush mount turn signal on my 06 600RR and now they don't blink, they just stay on.

RE: HELP!!! Turn signal issues

check your ground connections, mabye even run a new ground wire yourself if needed

Are they LED or regular bulb? LED requires a resistor in order to see the correct voltage, otherwise you get the exact problem you've described.

not just any resistor though...i forgot what they are...load resistors maybe? They will kick out A TON of heat, so place them somewhere they will not melt anything plastic or important. You may only need one for each side, or you may need one for each signal.

True dat playa. Basically it's because the LEDs have such a low ohm load, the incandescent relay sees no voltage drop and therefore does not "flash". My next question to him would be to check the specs on his new signals to determine their resistance, test his old signals w/ a multi-tester to determine their resistance, subtract one from the other and buy a load resistor with that same resistance, wire it into the positive leads and have blinky-type lights again.

Formula is this: Stock resistance-new resistance=needed load resistor

check your connections?

If you actually turn on your bike and let the bike run a sec then try the turns they should work, but they wont blink with the bike not running, not enough load being used. Try turning on the bike and playing with the signals a second.
