Don't need much, really. I mean, if you are talking about 40 below, I'd store it inside, seriously. But if not, it will survive...just don't sit on it in that kind of cold, the seat and anything else rubber or vinyl will crack.
If you know for sure you won't ride four to six months, drain the gasoline out first. Keep the battery on a trickle or charge it every three weeks or so. She'll make it.
Sorry, forgot to mention rust inhibitor for the tank. Actually you guys with your new-fangled motor-bikes may not even need that these days, but somehow I doubt it.
