Default HELP!!!--------

1999 Honda 600 f4 won't start..I was riding..I let the bike warm up..come out the neighborhood...1st.2nd.3rd.4th. sputter, sputter, bike shuts off....i try to restart the bike...the starter works..but the bike wont turn over..if it does turn over, its only for a half of a second..what could be wrong with the bike? timing? spark plugs? fuel system? i took off the fairings and everything looks normal so far. where should I start??

check for gas.....check spark plugs and plug wires.....check to see if battery is holding a charge, could be its not getting charged

Did you leave your petcock set on reserve after filling up the last time? LOL that happens alot more than you might think!

im not out of gas..and i don't have it on reserve.....i think im just gonna start with the spark plugs and fuel system

If it turns over for even half a sec then it sounds like you have a weak spark. I'd start with plugs, relay, battery then if charging system and spark is good move on to fuel system checks.

Make sure you chack you battery connections as well.
