Default Help!!!

Ok my 93 Hurricane is giving me issues. If i let it sit and idle for very long it boils over, i was told it is an air pocket but i cant seem to geet it cleared up. any ideas?

what is the temp when its boiling over?
is the cap on?
does the fan come on?
does the thermostat open and work properly?

^^^^^ + How old is the coolant?. I'd be draining the coolant & giving the radiator & motor a good flush anyway if you suspect an air pocket. The point that coolant boils at goes down if the coolant is old or been diluted by adding straight water to reserve bottle. Nearly forgot to add, if your having to top up water pretty consistently then a possible head gasket leak

Does it boil over when on the road ?
Are you losing water ?
Is your fan switching on when it should ?
Maybe a problem with the thermostat fan switch ?
Maybe the thermostat is stuck...........
Look for the easy (cheap) answers first !

It could be as simple as the radiator cap not holding pressure.
