Helmet Shield Question
I'm getting ready to order a new shield for my extra helmet. I emailed the company today but got no response.
If they sale a "light smoke" and a "dark smoke" how big is the difference in tint.
I want it to be comparable to sunglasses but I don't want it so dark that I have trouble seeing when in shady areas. Anyone have an ideas about how dark the "dark smoke" would be.
Thanks.

RE: Helmet Shield Question
Get the dark[sm=vader1.gif].
The light smoke is very light... nothing like sunglasses you'd wear on a sunny day. If your eyes are light sensitive at all it won't be enough.
With that said, it is no fun at all getting caught well after sunset. The dark is a ball breaker in the dark[sm=icon_flaming.gif]. If you're gonna be gone all day, if it's even remotely possible that your ride could go long bring along your clear visor.
Cheers

RE: Helmet Shield Question
One strategy I seen was to get clear, and use sunglasses in the helmet.
That way you can easily take the sunglasses off when it gets cloudy or if you are going to use the helmet at night.
Just thought I would mention that, because I have a dark shield helmet and it occured to me that maybe I should have gone that route.
Maybe the strategy for you; maybe not.
On the other hand, having a helmet that people can't look into is--I must admit--cool.
I use the iridescent blue for my avatar shield. That is my look of choice
