Headlights don't work help please

My running lights stopped working for about a day then worked again but then went out again for the last time and haven't worked since. So I was running my brights at all times and now they've stopped working. I went out and bout new lights and put them in but neither of them will work.
Is there some sort of fuse that might have blown or faulty wiring? I have the owners manual but it really doesn't give much indepth detail into this problem. Please help, I REALLY miss riding at night!

damn, not only at night, but they are important in the day too.

some more info on what bike and its year may be helpful too.

Usually fuses dont blow unless something caused them too. So if it is a fuse, still check for faulty wiring or a bad connection.

It sounds like a fuse to me, depending on wot model bike you have, would be a great help in telling you where they are. Other things they can stop lights working, Is the switch itself being full of crud. Alsop check that you have replaced the light fitting on the back of the headlight nice & firm. Check your owners manual again, it will tell you where the fuses are located, wot you have to do to access them, under the lid of the fuse box will be a description of wot fuse does wot + a couple of spare fuses.

Hiyu mate .. Welcome to the CBRForum ..
lights are important that is for sure...I would feel naked without mine blazing away ...

If they worked ?? , then stopped, then worked, then stopped yet again ... [:-]
Yer , I go with a relay issue mate .. hope you can get a refund on the lights mate

Grab a workshop manual to locate the gigger if you do not know where it is located ..

Does the bike run fine and only the headlight isout? If so, onsome CBRs (F2s for sure) the hot wire for the headlightruns through the starter switch onthe rightcontrol lever. The solder joint inside the switch sometimes (always if you own it long enough) ends up breaking loose. Then you'll have headlights only when thewire ismaking contact.Try giggling the starter switch and then turningthe key on to seeif you havelights. If it is a broken solder joint in there, it's a 5 minute fix andyou're good to go.

I can't seem to find the fuse box, I'm not exactly mechanically savvy but have to start sometime. Should I take off the side fairings in order to get to it or any of the wiring? and if so which side or both, they are a pain to get back on since the bike is custom. It's a 2002 CBR 600. Thanks again!

I had the same problems with my headlights yesterday. They would come on then go off, butI checked all the wiring and secured connections and the light is on now. Mine wasn't a fuse issue. More of a bad wire somehere not making contact the way it's supposed to./\
