Default Headlights

Hey guys, im new on the forum, I just bought a 2006 Honda CBR 600F4i. I love the bike, but the headlights are very weird. There are two lights and one light is the dim and both lights are the high beams. It kinda looks retarded. Anyone have a solution to problem?

Welcome to the forum.

I don't mind the 1 light on, 1 light off thing. However, I do tend to ride with both of them on it helps idiots that are not paying attention to grab their attention.

Yeah your right Freek!

The single light is the Euro style. The thing is that you can have both on all the time or just the single. I try to leave both of mine on all the time but I don't like to start the bike with the high beam (just my preference) so I turn it off when I turn off the bike. So sometimes it's on, sometimes it's not.

Really it boils down to one thing... Honda has built us a sleek, beautiful, high performance, lightning fast, street bike! Couple this with a half way experienced rider and the both together can make most of the street competition look very bad. Lovin my bike!!!

Hello & Welcome!!

Leave the headlight on...LOL! I'm not sure if they make a kit to change the lights. I included this in the Tech section, but this is your introduction post....so I left a trace.

There's been a few threads on this already. I think bikermike has some wiriing solution to get both lows and highs on. Involves a dual filament bulb, rewiring, yada-yada...

I just do what others have mentioned here and run with the highs on. You can also adjust the angle of the reflectors so that they don't shine so high up, that way they won't blind other vehicles and it'll just seem like you've got really bright lights.

I'm with wheelie and also turn the highs off when I turn off the bike.

Ride with the High beam on. One time I was behind a cop, he let me go around him and then he pulled me over. I asked why and he said I had a headlight out. I explained to him that I didn't want to blind him and showed him my headlight with the high beam on and he apologized and let me go. After that I decided to always ride with my high beam so I wouldn't have to go through that again.
