So glad my jacket is cut for skinny fat people. no armor in ATM. sucked the gut in and breathed like there was a fat chick sitting on me. normally i would take them out of the box and stuff them in after i am on the bike.
last weekend fit, a 2 liter, 12pack of mtndew, 3 frozen dinnners, and a bag of carrots with room to spare, in my book bag.\
needs sushi.

One thing to keep in mind with the Jacket-bag approach. Avoid having things trapped
next to your tender skin (inside your gear) that might break into sharp/hard objects if
you go down. It defeats the point of wearing protective gear in the first place.
Just a thought, Ern

I wear a backpack on any trips that will require me to carry stuff. We have gym at work, so when I ride the bike to work the backpack has my gym clothes and a pair of sneakers to wear at the office/gym. On colder mornings I wear a sweatshirt (or 2)under my jacket and, if it's warmer after work, they go in the backpack on the way home.
Having a commuter bike with saddle bags or hard cases would come in handy sometimes, but I'm not ready/willing to give up the performance and handling of a sportbike yet, and can't afford multiple bikes. :-(

I did a Givi tail-trunk. It clips/locks onto a tail plate. When I'm out sporting, I
lose the trunk.
The main reason I went with tail, it gave momma security when
we're 2-up. She was always a little on edge riding, until I got the back-rest/trunk.
Now, she can relax and enjoy.
Other-wise, I'd go with a set of soft-sides. They have gotten a LOT better than
what you used to have to deal with (sag, burns, sloppy-mounting). Easy on/off,
expand for extra cargo, cheap! ($75-$150-ish).

I was amused as well, then started thinking about the possibilities.
If it wasn't someone I actually "know", I probably wouldn't have said
anything to bum the party. But, like the 2nd law of robotics...cannot fail
to take action when harm may come to a human...I had to point out the
possibilities.
So a dwarf, a mage and a paladin go into this bar....
