Default GPS Trackers

I searched but couldn't find a topic on this, so if I missed it, quite sorry.

Anyone have any experience with GPS Trackers for a bike? Thieves are horrid here, even though I keep my F4i inside, 2 bikes were stolen and 1 tagged in the span of a month from my parking lot area alone.

So any tips?

Been hearing insane prices on having lojack installed on bikes, if they can find an installer at all. Though I believe there are plenty of "alarm installers" that'll do the job (meaning those car audio dime a dozen places).

A possible alternative is Scorpio Alarms rLink SR-i1100. I have no personal experience with this alarm. But Scorpio is a top motorcycle alarm manufacturer. Looks like it can handle the job.

lojack is not a universal thing, and is typically limited to populated, metro areas. lojack has to obtain a partnership with the local popo and install antennas on the cruiser fleet to triangulate the lojack signal - it is NOT an alarm, it is a recovery tool. the automotive and motorcycle divisions of lojack are completely separate - just because they have lojack in your area doesn't mean it covers bikes as well - make sure you check with them for info. they will also be the resource for locating their authorized installer.
