I would appreciate any advice on mounting a GPS (Nuvi 260). It seems to me a RAM fork stem mount is the best bet but I am having trouble finding a stem fork mount that is compatable with a 08 CBR 1000 RR. It is difficult to find a mount compatable for a specific bike on the ram-mount.com website. Thanks in advance.

 

Have you considered using a tank camera mount? They mount to the ring around your gas tank, then extend towards your handlebars. Since the base of the mount is around the filler, you can still fill the tank, and the mounts are pretty sturdy.

If your only using the gps on trips, it may be a good mount to use.

 

yes that is my second choice. i think the fork stem mount might hold the gps more in line with my vision and may look a bit cleaner so i want to fully research that option first. I emailed ram-mount people my question so i will wait before looking at tank mount options. thanks.
