Default got a weird rattle in me engine

hey guys. my engine has a weird metalish sounding rattle to it. it comes from the front near the air intake.

u can hear it clearly when i move closer.

also, this hose looked kinda split.

To me that ticking sounds like the CCT (Cam Chain tensioner) Needs to be adjusted.Not uncommon for our bikes..As far as that hose.Are you sure its a hose and not possiably the clutch cable.Its kinda hard to tell from the pictures.I cant think of any other hose that goes that way.Any idea where it runs from?

+1 on the CCT ~ do a search; there are many threads on this forum about it. That hose looks like the coolant/anti-freeze reservoir line. Isn't that just a hose with an outer sleeve around it for protection?

Are you sure?..I always thought that hose was routed on the right side of the bike.?i could almost sworn it is on mine anyway

No, I'm not 100% sure ~ but isn't that a picture of the right side? ...and damn 94cbr600kid, you've got a lot of bikes! Mr. moneybags over here... lol

yes, its the right side access door cover. if its just the outer protector plastic i guess i should not worry. i just thought it was directly related to the engine noise. but yes i will look into this cct problem. thanks for the help guys!

yea dont worry about the hose its supposed to be like that.

F3's are prone to the Cam Chain Tensioner ****tin the brick. I do believe this is the problem. Everyone says buy a manual one, but i still say buy the OEM automatic one and dont worry about tightening it up every so often.

Hey guys. im i lookin to buy a new Cam Chain Tensioner, or Cam Chain Tensioner Lifter?

also, is there a How To for the F3? i went through 10 pages in the search engine and could only find a How To for the F4i
