Default Got my bike, now lil help

I t has the split seat and the battery the guy has in it is too large for the from part to slip in place. The seat has a plastic lip in the front and two bolts in the rear, the battery and ecu are not letting the seat sit low enough to go into place. Anyone know of where i can find a battery that will work ?

Also is their any other way to remove the seat than im doing?? Im having to remove the rear seat and squeeze my hand in their and undo 2 - 8mm bolts. Did it once to try and fit the seat on right and after i couldnt do it i just put the seat back on to ride for now. Took like 45 mins just to get the seat off and back on.

The rear corners of the front seat are flexible. Just bend a corner forward and the bolt is right underneath and easily reached.

Well finally figured out my battery problem. The battery he has in it IS for a cbr 600 just not an F4i its one the batteries from wal mart. The one in it is a ES9BS and is 4.125" tall, the battery im looking to get now is a YTZ10S-BS and is 3.68" tall.

Anyone know if this model #YTZ10S-BS is the correct one for a 2002 F4i battery replacement.

Its one the TMS batteries off ebay, couldnt find any other for around the same price, dont want to go throught the dealer they want $150 for theirs. This one is only going to run me about $50. Just wanted to double check to make sure im ordering the right one and not make a mistake and have another battery that wont fix my seat issue.

Thx in advance

Your problem w/ fitment reminded me of my own fitment concerns w/ the split-seat conversion to my 2000 F4. The stock size F4 battery fit into the '01-'03 battery tray just fine but was taller than a F4i battery. No worries...you don't need that plastic top/front battery cover piece anyway. So, I don't use it.

I found it somewhat odd that your seat wouldn't go back into position b/c during my split-seat conversion, I relocated my ECU to rest on top of the battery. Thing is, it all fits fine w/ no fitment problems at all. That's why I was wondering why you'd have a problem on yours even w/a taller battery.

But, it seems you've got it figured out now though. ;-)
